I am very happy to announce that I will be speaking at the 2008 Emerging Writers Festival in early May.

The program isn’t finalised yet, but I will post a link as soon as it is available (April 10th). At the moment I am pencilled in to be first session on Sunday 11th. It will be held at Melbourne Town Hall.

I have been asked to speak about my book, how and why I have chosen to self-publish and in what way(s) blogging may help with promoting, marketing, and selling of the project (and me, too, I guess.)

Come along if you’re interested – I’d love to meet you!

(Forgive my pasty-whiteness, for I have been ill. Forgive my bra-strap showing because, well, let’s face it, I’m not a classy lass.)

Look what arrived from the printers in Singapore yesterday! The book dummy!

(“Book Dummy” meaning a mocked-up version of the completed task, sans pictures and words, obviously)

I’m glad I insisted on it, because there are features I still want tweaked and modified. On the whole, though, there was a lot of squealing. Then the kids joined in.

Then I went back to bed.
