This year-long Friday celebrations series is my way of documenting the good things that have passed my way during the week and being mindful of these, and more.

Friday Celebrations

I just took this photo as I walked home from dropping the kids off at school. On the way a car passed with a woman at the wheel who was very obviously texting and driving at the same time. It really upsets me when I see that happen and sometimes it’s enough to drag me into a slump for the rest of the day. This time I stopped and thought I could try and focus on the good, and this cheery, sunlit vignette presented itself. It helped a little.

What am I celebrating this week?

  • I’m getting really close to officially launching my ecourse – stay tuned next week!
  • I managed to slip away from my desk long enough to have lunch with my dear friend Jasmin of Wonderwebby and talk about all my favourite things: blogging, writing, creativity and more. Very soul soothing!
  • If you have ever been curious about what happened in the Star Wars universe after The Return of the Jedi this post will tell you. But be warned – there are spoilers!
  • Here is Tom Hiddleson as Hank Williams. Singing and all!
  • A hipster Barbie reminded the internet how much of a curated beast social media is.
  • If you’re ‘Team Lupin’ like I am, you’ll enjoy this: ‘18 Reasons Potterheads Love Remus Lupin’
  • If you’ve ever wondered why some people – like me! – are left-handed, here’s a cool video.

What are you celebrating this week?
